  1. I use Media Player Classic 6.4.8.2 and so far I have ran 95-99% of anything I wanted to run (including duel audio files mkv/ogm)....

But I have a problem.... sometimes when I try to jump ahead on certain videos it will freeze (usually just for a couple seconds, sometimes forever)...

I also got a tv-out, and sometimes when I drag video over to it my whole comp freezes (major b*tch)...

I never had neither of these problems on my old computer (but the second problem might be a video card issue. Cheap XFX 6600 GT video card.)

You would need to tell us what kind of video you are talking about.

Then I would suspect a corrupt video file. You can run it through VirtuaDub and check for errors. What you describe can happen with Divx or Xvids when the index is messed up. Resaving it with VD is one way to correct it, or there are a couple of repair programs in 'Tools' to the left <<< that may work.

They worked on my old computer, why would they suddenly be corrupt now (I transferred the HDD's BTW)?

Stranger things have happened, but see if they play properly with VLC media player. That should eliminate the possibility of codec and player problems from MPC.

If the same problem persists, then check the vids with VD. If they are Xvids, I would also delete, then reinstall the Xvid codec. It can get corrupted. Though you should notice the problem on all Xvids.
