    Hi guys!
    I think this problem I'll mention, is yet a problem for much of you. First of all, sorry for my bad english, okay???

    So, I've seen tha CCE is a good encoder for MPEG1/2. And I want to make an experiment: I've Ripped a DVD 'cos i want to convert it from DVD9 to DVD5. I've learned how convert a DVD with menus, extras, etc. So, I want to compress the video-only of the Main Movie. So:
    1. Load VOB Files with DVD2Avi
    2. create an AVS script with MPEG2DEC3 filter;
    3. Load the AVS script into CCE 2.70;
    4. Make these settings:

    Add sequence end code;
    M = 3
    N/M = 4
    SEQ Header every 1 GOP(s)
    Close All GOPs
    Output top field first stream
    Luminance level: 16-235
    Quantization type: Nonlinear
    Quantization matrices: standard
    Packet size: 2048

    In picture Quality I've disabled all options, exept for 9 bits for Intrablock DC precision and Block scan order Auto.

    These are the option used in CCE.

    5. After the new .m2v file is ready, launch IFO Edit (0.9.7.1) and open the VTS IFO related to Main Movie;
    6. Into the menu VOB Extras, I select Remux .m2v, insert the name file of the new .m2v file... and then...
    7. When I try to see the VOB file into PowerDVD, I see, after 20-30 seconds, that the movie going on with tooo drop frames...

    Please... If you know what can be the problem... I'm here!

  2. I think this is exactly what you need to read:
    http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=27441
    Even the thread title is almost the same
    I can suggest the folowing guide: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=219535
    Skip the subtitle part. Author a new dvd with muxman, and correct the ifo with ifoupdate - use it exactly as in the guide

    Sorry if I miss exactly what you want to do but if you want to convert a DVD9 to a DVD5 and you already own CCE then you might want to check out DVD Rebuilder. It gives you loads of options.
