menu in nero

I am using nero to create a menu but more often than not the menu does not appear on the finished svcd. I am doing the same thing each time and have had some success . Am I missing something

You might be missing something but my suggestion is to change burnning software. Menu in NERO is not very good anyway. I recommend VCDImager (TSCV for GUI) because nero is giving you a not very useful menu. For example, you can have, yes, 6-12 small thumbnails but you can hardly read text underneath, unchangable style, etc. and beside you will have problems with FF/RW or GOTO funtion sooner or later.
It is so easy to create your own menu with everythings or pictures you want in it. Then convert that menu (picture) to mpeg file (using TMPGenc), last add both menu and main mpg (mpeg2 in this case) to TSCV and last burn bin/cue with CDRWIN or whatever burnning software you have.
