Unable to convert AVI to MOV mpeg4!

Hi all!
I'm trying to convert AVI files to MOV mpeg4.
When i'm trying to open the new file with Quick Time,QT says:
Kindocument
Size:ZERO kb!

From process information,i'm reading:

Seems that stream 1 comes from film source: 1000.00 (1000/1) -> 25.00 (25/1)

Convert avi? Looks like a wmv file to me which I doubt quicktime supports for input. Quicktime's AVC and ASP encoders are crap anyway, so you might want to consider encoding with something else. 3ivX's muxer can do mov's, although I would go for mp4 as a container personally.
