  1. I'd like to create my own DVDs using my drive LG 4163b but I can't capture in mpeg2.

Power Vcr II 3.0 shows this error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error - Abnormal program termination

It worked without any error in mpeg1. I know the problem isn't in Power VCR because I have the same error when I encode a file AVI to mpeg2 using Mainconcept Mpeg encoder or TmpgEnc Plus.

I think I need reinstall the mpeg2 video codec but I don't know how to do it. Can someone help me?

My system is: Athlon XP 1700, 384 Mb, 80 Gb hdd, PlayTV Hd video capture card, Win XP pro.

If your card does not come with a hardware mpeg encoder, you need to uninstall Intervideo WinDVD or any other mpeg codec you find by going to Start/Settings/Install/Uninstall programs. Reboot, install Intervideo WinDVD or get the Nvidia mpeg encoder/decoder.

If your card indeed comes with a hardware encoder, uninstall the drivers and reinstall them.

    Give it a try.

  3. End of the problem.

I seek and found a mpeg-2 video codec installer at:

    http://dvd.box.sk/index.php?pid=sof...&pol=4&rid=7717

After installed it solved the error.

    Thanks
