Hi all,
Just got a Philips 712. DVD...no problems. VCD...no problems. SVCD...problems, no sound. I got around this by going into the sound pref menu and changing the "digital output" option from "all" to "PCM only". This brought me my much missed audio track. The wierd thing is that I have to go back and change it to "all" again in order to get my digital output from DVDs.
Any comments about this small but annoying hassle?
Oh yeah, I am also not getting audio from MP3 recordings. The discs seems to be reading fine, but no sound even after playing with the aforementioned sound menus. I burn them as data with Nero, which has worked in other players, but this one won't.
Any comments about THIS annoyance?
