ok I made a just the video ffmpeg mpeg 2 from a avi divx so that I could add the 3:2 pulldown and mux after that and make VIDEO_TS from there (I doubt it will work though) Anyway first off I set it to be 2600 kps and it turned out at 9000 kps->nice. The new file has the extension .mpg so I changed it to .m2v but when i try to add the pulldown it tells me it is not a mpeg file...???????????

    I'm beginning to go crazy

  2. It is not 9000 kbps, the nominal value in the header is not the actual variable bitrate average value. You cannot change the .mpg extension into .m2v, to obtain a .m2v stream you must demux the .mpg file.

  3. Also, if ffmpegx created an mpv file in the process before muxing the audio and video to create an mpg, then you can change the mpv extension to m2v for pulldown before you mux it with the auido and author it to video_ts.
