    we have one mac at work

    and Im trying to take a screen grab of an error that we get

    Hold shift and command and 4 at the same time and the mouse pointer will change so you can select which area you want to grab. The picture file should appear on your desktop

  4. Also, if the Mac is running OS X, there is a small application in the Utilities folder named "Grab" that does a wide variety of screen captures. Entire Screen, window only, selection area and more.

    I really like Snapz Pro X but other mac ones are:

    Apple+Shift+3 will do the whole screen. Apple+Shift+4+Space will bring up a camera and let you highlight the window you want to capture...
