Downloaded a dvd from a legit site, it plays fine on my PC, but when I burn it my stand alone dvd player shows a series of static images, changing every 30 seconds or so. Audio is playing fine. Details from AVIcodec on the vobs are :
Video : 1.18 GB, 9000 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 720*576 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported
Audio : 34 MB, 256 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported
Any suggestions what is going wrong here?
Cheers
Scott

Maybe your stand alone dvd player doesn't like the type of media your using. Can you try it on another dvd player?

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the delay in posting again.
The dvd when burned will play on a friends dvd player with no problems.
I have tried 3 different branded discs and all have the same issues with my player.
I was wondering if there was anything I could try, eg. recoding, that would be likely to help. (I don't mind losing some quality if I can play it!!)
My dvd player has never had this problem before and has played every burned disc without problem.
Cheers
Scott
