  1. How do I know what to set it in my bios? I have an AMD 2200+ on a EP-8rda+ motherboard. It's set at 133...but I'm wondering if I should be setting it higher, or if it would make a difference. I have never really played with my BIOS so I don't know what to do...if someone could provide links as to where I could study up on it.

It depends on your motherboard and memory where you can set it. I run 2 different boxes with AMD 2200+ Semprons OC'd to 1863Mhz from the stock 1583Mhz. The Sempron is rated at 333Mhz FSB, but I have OC'd four of them so far to 400Mhz FSB, all stable and still operating. One motherboard is an inexpensive Chaintech SKT600 and the other a ASUS A7N8X-E. The memory in both is economy type Corsair Value Select DDR400/PC3200.

The only change I made was to set the FSB to 400MHZ (392Mhz). Stock CPU coolers in both machines. The ASUS runs pretty much 24hr/Day for the last 3 months with no heat problems, completely stable. Chaintech with no problems either.

If your MB is up to it (400Mhz FSB option-set the system clock to 200 instead of 133) and your memory is 400Mhz, shouldn't be a problem. If nothing else try 166Mhz system clock, that will give you 233Mhz FSB and that will work with most systems. Some MBs have a jumper to change and some do it in BIOS-Check your MB manual.

EDIT: And yes, it will make a difference, even the 166Mhz system clock setting.

EDIT: Looks like your MB will run at 333Mhz FSB. You set it in BIOS. Just go from 133 to 166Mhz and you're done. I wouldn't mess around with the multiplier unless you really know what you are doing.
