Ok, here is my issue. I have an avi fle that I want to encode for DVD. When I load the AVI into Vegas video the video is longer than the audio(The avi plays fine with no sync problems). I trimmed the extra off before encoding but when I demux the two and load them into DVD Architect for authoring, the files are still not even. Any help would be appreciated.

It would be of help if you could tell us what kind of audio your file contains... MP3 VBR? AC3? ??
Often certain applications will report the wrong length for your audio when in actual fact the track is just the right length. Not sure about Vegas though (I doubt it)
So load up your file in GSpot for instance and let us know what it says.
A couple of other considerations on this: would you by chance have been trying to join 2 avi files, and/or perform PAL/NTSC conversions? All this can affect synching issues big time.( i.e. your file is 25 fps and your end video is 23.976 fps or vice versa).
