The only best thing I'm able to do is load the video file after opening virtualdub. Then I'm able to import audio in .wav format and thats it. I would like to import audio files (mp3s) and add to the video stream whereever I like. I don't know how to add the second audio clip to the video, next to the first one and so forth.
I've been to doom9 virtualdub procedures, but of no help. I appreciate if anyone can clearly tell me what to do, along with your sarcasms of me being ignorant.
thanks

Use VirtualDubMod . It is different from regular VirtualDub. You'll easily be able to add new streams to your file with it.

If by "next to the first one" you mean adding a number of audio tracks to play one after the other, then no dice with virtualdub by itself I'm afraid. It doesn't have a timeline or anything like that. You'd need to join your audio streams together and then add this one big track as your audio source. If this isn't sufficient you might need to invest some $$$ in a more capable editor.
If in doubt, Google it.
