  1. Hey all, got another question.

My source is 29.970 fps, and I would like to bring it down to 23.976 fps. I know I need to pulldown the film but I am wondering if under the framerate option, I choose NTSC film (23.976) if it does it automatically. Reason I think it's doing something to this effect is because in the log, it IS detecting all those duplicate frames and "skipping" them.

    Thanks!!

  2. The frames are skipped if the target framerate is lower than the source framerate.

Right... but is it doing the proper pulldown? Or just skipping random frames to bring it down to 23.976fps?

    Thanks,

  4. This should depend on your source being pure NTSC or NTSC FILM with 3:2 pulldown. Is your source interlaced?

If the source isn't pure telecine film, you will be doing irreversable damage (unless you backup first).
