i burnt an svcd to a cd and it plays on my dvd player. the only problem is that the film freezes for a split second every 2 seconds. it's barely noticable, but i do get kinda seasick watching it. what did i do wrong? did i burn it at to fast a speed? or was the problem caused when i converted the avi to an svcd? thanks

    Hi,

Try a different brand cdr first. It could be bad media. Then if that doesn't work cut out a short clip from the avi and reencode it. If you get the same problem then it may be the encoding process. What program are you using to encode the avi??? Are you using the default svcd settings?

I played the original svcd on my computer and the split second freeze thing happened. so it must be the programme that i used to convert the avi to an svcd. the software is cucusoft avi to vcd dvd converter. i'm using the default settings. should i try get different software or can it be fixed?

  4. might try de-mux/re-muxing the file, using TmpgEnc before buring.. Also might try SVCD2DVD, which I get great results with

A lot of people seem to have issues with cucusoft, so I'll recommend TMPGEnc for your encoding software. It's fully functional and free for 30 days so you can try it out.
    If in doubt, Google it.
