DVDlab - thumbnail pic disappearing upon menu simulation

I've got a video clip as the menu background and I've dragged up a frame of the main movie as a thumbnail. I've added a button to play the movie but when I hit Simulate the thumbnail piccy disappears.
What am I doing wrong............. ?

Same thing is happening with text on the menu. It dissapears from view during simulation and on the actual DVD too.
It's still set to Visible so that's not the issue.
Where have I gone wrong ?

You have a motion background.
You put stuff on top of it.
When the motion starts, the stuff disappears behind it.
Set your frame and buttons, and links, then re-render as a motion menu.
