  1. A friend of mine from India sent me some video he recorded on a DVD-R. But my Panasonic DMR-E75 is giving me an error when I try to play it.

I'm guessing it's b/c of the Region that is set. I have done alot of googling and come up empty with how to make it Region Free.

Does anyone know what the remote commands are to remove the Region 1 setting?

    Thanks

  2. is it possible that the disc format your friend sent is PAL and your panny deck is an ntsc machine? that would give an error if it cannot/does not read a PAL disc

  3. I tried playing a DVD-R that I made as well and it gives me an error. I know this DVD works fine in my other DVD player.

  4. BTW, I made this DVD-R with D.I.K.O. and it doesn't even make it to the menu I created.

This is the error message it gives me:
This disc is not formatted properly.

    Cannot Play.

  5. I tried the DVD again on a different DVD player... No problems.

Has anyone else had this problem with this player?

Let me ask you some questions....

    1. Is it video DVD with movie or with home footage ?

    2. Is that disc in PAL format or NTSC ?

    3. Was it recorder on DVD Recorder or it was created in some software for vide editing ?

    4. What is brand and model of you "other player" ?

    5. Are you sure that it is DVD-R and nor DVD+R ?

    6. Can you play it on PC ?
