    Hi all,

I've got some widescreen xvids that I'm currently in the process of converting to DVD.

I'm using DIKO to convert them and on the video tab in configuration I select, "Encode Anamorphic" as I want to watch them on a widescreen television.

Most of my files have worked fine, but some of them, just won't encode properly in anamorphic. It seems all my files with a resolution of 608x336 convert fine and turn out perfect, but my files with a resolution of 624x352 come out wrong.

Can anyone offer any advice? When I encode the 608x336 files, DIKO sends an aspect ratio of 16:9 to FreeEnc but with the others it tells them they are 4:3. I've even tried converting with FreeEnc and forcing 16:9 but they turn out 4:3 anyway.

Maybe if I change the resolution of the files down to 608x336? But is there a simple way to do that?

    Thanks for the help.

you could manually set it to 16:9 with dvdpatcher after converted.
