In order to download a file off an mms:// address, software such as Stream Down will work as shareware for 15 days. Is there any other way to download such a file with a freeware or any other method?

  2. I use a program called NetTransport.
Just copy the mms url into clipboard (CTRL+C), open nettransport, click Job, new download, and it should already be pasted in there.

I second that recommendation of Net Transport ... but, with one proviso. The last freeware version (1.87) does pretty much what the latest trialware version does. If anyone knows of something the current trialware version does that the freeware version doesn't do, let me know. You can download the freeware version here:

The nice thing about 1.87, though, is that no nag screen comes up. Assuming functionality is relatively equal between 1.87 and 1.94, might as well use the one without the nag screen.
