  1. I want to make a cheap video monitor for watching video off my old 8mm camcorder. I want to know if I could use a juicebox display or a videonow display. I have sceen I could buy a 7 inch lcd monitor for $60 but if I can hack a videonow or juicebox I could get them cheaper. Any ideas how to hack the display.

it would be very difficult and cost you more than 60$ as you would have to build a circuit to do it (well about 40$ in parts prob.)

If you can find a PSOne screen for a Sony Playstation it has a composite input. I use one to set up surveillance system cameras. Make sure you get the power supply with it. I got it on EBay used for $20US. It has a 5" LCD screen.

They are probably getting pretty rare these days. If I remember, it runs on 7.5VDC. It's at work now. I use it for setting up video cameras for a quick monitor. It has composite video in. It's not hi res, but probably 640 X 400 or so. Most of them were bought up by computer case moders that use them for a built in video display to impress people at LAN parties.

Well doesnt radio shack sell a car multi adaptor that has like 7 different voltages on it, do you know how much current it draws b/c if i have that and that jumper box thing i got then im good to go but then id need a splitter for the jumper box b/c the battery on my ipod doesnt last for nothing when playing videos so ill need to plug it into the car charger i have the griffen USB car charger and it has a cable for the itrip but i dont have that, instead i use that extra cable for some of my other USB devices they all have the same style USB plug, now as far as resolution my camera has a 640X480 video resolution but the framerate sucks so i use the 352X288 setting and the picture res i use 1600X1200 i think b/c any higher and space is wasted b/c its a 2mp camera 4mp interpolated, and pure digital has this new camera out the point and shoot camera, im thinking of byting that its better than mine but theres no cards to change and it will hook to a tv or a pc the video is 640x480 and smooth as heck ive seen ppl on youtube do reviews on this camera and i approve of it its about 80 bucks now was 99 last time i checked, is anyone interested in trying to make videos and putting them on this camera like as a media player? Just Curious. BTW i have the flash video file thats on the pure digital site just go to google and put in pure digital point and shoot camera and its the very first one on the list one of the sponsored links puredigitalinc, i have attached a pic of the camera to this post

also on the flash video file on the pure digital site its a swf file just let it fully load (watch your modem's data light when it stops flashing go into your temp internet files folder and look for a swf file thats pretty big and youll need a program that plays flash content like swiff player, use that to play the video if you want to watch it later
