    Hi

Can someone tell me what is this tool "TMPGEnc" and what does it do. I hear so much about it.I van not find any Operating Instructions. Does it do what VideoStudio does? Can you use this to capture video analogue or digital. When I open the program I see a Start button also a Video/Audio source. What do you do first. A simple explanation step by step would be appreciated.

    Regards

  2. Firstly, please do some basic research. A quick search on the net or even playing around with the program should yield its intended function.

TMPGEnc is primarily an MPEG encoder. It has a number of other functions as well.

    Regards.

    Hi

TMPGEnc is mostly used to convert downloaded AVI's to VCD mpeg files (To make VCD's for your DVD player)

Video source > (Click Browse) select AVI
Audio source > (Normaly the same as above)
Output file name > Browse and type a name to save.
Load > Load a template like PAL VCD or NTSC VCD

Hit start, go for a long walk.... wait for the bing bong (Job done) now burn VCD with the mpeg it has made.

  5. I have downloaded TMPGEnc to convert captured AVIs to MPEG for video CD recording. However I am totally stumped by this program. It has no instructions that I can find (in English anyway) and all the buttons on the program are blank with no text to give me a clue what they each do.

Does anyone have a suggestion where I can find some instructions for this program? From what I've read it is the best way to create VCDs with the best quality, but I can't seem to even get started.

    Thanks

    Hi Spidey

Thanks for the info. My fault that I never thought that this program comes with no operating instructions and that I could find the instructions here.
