  1. We have a panasonic TV, leading to my Dad desperate to buy a panasonic DVD recorder for some reason.

    I am wary of doing this because of the fatal flaws listed.

    Can anyone recomend a good DVD recorder.

    The things I look for:

    1. Good picture and audio quality.
    2. Quite a simple way to set it recording the channel you are watching (mothers!!)
    3. (optional) playback of Xvid(or DivX)

    Try a Pioneer, I would say JVC but its very complicated.

    Panasonic is coming out with new models this month. LOts of topics on the S10 which is already here, about $175 US.

    The latest models I've seen are the ES10 and ES30, which are already out.

  7. Im waiting on the new Panasonic hd models, if they ever come out. Supposed to have come out in May, then June, still waiting.....
    E65 is also nice, $269 at newegg.com (below) can be under $200 if you search on the net for it.
