I am trying to burn a bin/cue file to a cd-r using Nero 6 and when selecting the cue file i get an error saying,

An error occured while loading the cue sheet file C:\(file location) (line1)
Any ideas why this could be happening and hoow to fix it?

I have never had this problem before with bin/cue files

open up cue file with notepad and edit the first line so it does not show a path

Make sure the file name in the cue file is exactly the same as the bin file name.

Something is wrong with the file names if the bin file is ok,make sure the first line in the cue file looks like this-
    FILE "(file name).bin" BINARY

'FILE (file name).BIN BINARY ,that doesnt look right with the quotation marks missing.

The cue file does have the "" at where johns0 said they should be

  8. Maybe you should enter the full file name - with the path.

  9. Here s a little trick I sometimes use.

Right click the bin file name and choose 'rename'
When the name is highlighted, press Ctrl-C (Copy)
Open the cue file in notepad, highlight the name of the bin file in between the " " and press Ctrl-v (paste)
    Save the cue file
    Open with Nero

Often, there s one character that s wrong somewhere in the cue file in referencing the bin file, this ensures that the bin filename is spelt properly.

Post the full cue, together with the full path of the cue and bin files.

When you say to post the full cue you mean open it with notepad and copy/paste the info in that file?

Mats this is what i get in the cue file:

    FILE "Filename.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

And here is the file path for both bin/cue:

    Bin File: G:\Games\file name\CD1
    Cue File: G:\Games\file name\CD1

I assume your files are CD1.cue and CD1.bin. If so the top of the cue file should read
    FILE "CD1.bin" BINARY

If this doesn't work put there
    FILE "G:\Games\file name\CD1.bin" BINARY

use another program to burn the cue sheet , or load it in DAEMON and burn it from that

  18. i don't do alot of bin-cue but can't you just have nero open and load the bin without the cue? when in nero after you say burn image, if you look you see both the bin and cue when selecting which file to burn. your cue is not matching bin file.

in explorer you see a new drive letter which is a cdrom drive ..

if you look in that 'drive' , there is some content ..

open nero and burn what is in that 'drive' onto a blank cd in mode 1 format

yes -- but watch the mode you use, you might have to use mode 1 if it is a vcd or svcd

  29. In witch way - yeah, should be right
Cue files are simply text files. You can put many, many, many cue files on DVD.
