  1. I have an AVI file which has audio which I dont care for and would like to completely replace this audio within the AVI with a new one (.WAV). How do i go about doing this in Adobe Premiere?

I've tried using Virtual Dub but the avi video seems to get off sync by 2 seconds or so. It varies over time. I need to get Premiere to combine the 2 files and help eleviate this syncing issue.

I've been able to add the .WAV file as the audio track for the video within Premiere. The audio track is has about 20 secs missing from the begining and so needs to be delayed by 20 secs for the video to catch up. I have no idea how to acheive this within Premiere but tried it in Virtualdub). Then as the video goes on it seems to get off sync with the audio requiring me to adjust the audio or delay a few more secs. I think the audio is getting ahead of the video.

    Thanks.

Load the video with the original audio into the timeline.

Right click on the audio and select 'unlink audio and video'.
Right click on the audio and select 'duration' and change it to 20 secs.
Then add the wav to the audio timeline.

Right click on the audio timeline wav and select 'speed' then new duration.

Change the duration to match the video (minus the 20 seconds from the first audio).

    Hope this helps.
