    Hi all.
I have just seen the new Philips DVDR3320V DVD/VHS combi recorder, and it looks quite nice. It seems it is the successor to DVDR630. New features include DivX, WMA and perhaps also Dual Layer
I can't find much about Dual Layer on their homepage, but a closer look in the manual does suggest that it has this feature.

Any comments/early experiences with this new recorder?

Well, I guess nobody has this recorder yet.

But I took the plunge and got one. And so far it seems to be very nice. It plays anything I throw at it. DVD, VCD, Divx, Xvid (also with subtitles according to the manual, but I haven't tested that), MP3, WMA, JPG.
I haven't had time to test the DVD recorder side of it yet, but the VCR works really well. Very low noise and lightning fast rewinding.

The only problem so far is with the remote. A few times (but rarely), I've seen a press on down arrow was seen as an up arrow.

I got this player. I've tested SRT subtitles on XviD movies, works great.
Also, I've had a problem with a 2 hour long XviD that crashes each time it hits 1 hour and 50 minutes, and i had to pull the power of it and start it again.
