Can anyone tell me of a current VHS or S-VHS unit that has really good playback for copying home movies to DVD? My Panasonic AG-1970 industrial strength S-VHS had a great picture 'till it quit working. Now I'm hoping there's something new out there that will have as good a picture. It doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles or be an editing deck, it just needs great VHS playback. Thanks!

  3. Yeah LS recommends a JVC with a TBC(Time Base Corrector).Good S-VHS decks are hard to find nowadays but you might check www.pricegrabber.com or www.shopping.com for best price and availability.

  4. Get a JVC VCR with "Digi-Pure", which is a built-in TBC. The Digital noise reduction feature can really improve your capture quality.
