  1. I've been using ATI MMC 7.9 with an ATI TV Wonder VE for over a year with occasional problems of program hanging. Frequent use of defrag has allowed me to continue using this application, which has worked very well for me.

A few days ago, MMC started constantly hanging, so I reinstalled the software again, which has fixed this problem in the past. After the reinstall, I can't open the TV function at all, being prompted to check the video drivers, which are present and functioning properly. Other applications that use this card also no longer would work, prompting me "input video filter not found", or similar.

I went out today and purchased two new similar TV cards and installed them, with the same results. The video drivers are reported as not installed, although they are clearly there in device manager.

Please, is there some fix for this? I can't reformat my hard drive due to loss of the install CD. I've used this setup to create over 150 DVD's each with five or six full length mpeg-1 videos on them in the last three months. I admit it's been running 24/7 that long with few major problems.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gealto

  3. Okay, I just did that, and there is no change. The MMC configuration tool shows that there is no capture source installed, and the diagnostic indicates "capture driver inf files not installed".

I can't find a "capture driver" for this board. All of the drivers are indluded in a single exe file.

    Thanks,

  5. I've been uninstalling the old drivers (using BtInstaller) before reinstallling. Is there some better way to do this? After reinstalling, often the TV card driver is not present. There is clearly a problem with some of the drivers, or with Windoz recognizing them.

These do not reflect the fact that I cannot install another TV card in my system. I'm afraid I have corrupted system files, and have no clue how to fix them.

    Regards,

Try going into control panel/add remove programs and uninstalling everything from ATI and reinstalling everything.

    ATI Control Panel
    ATI Display Driver
    ATI DVD Decoder
    ATI Multimedia Center
    ATI Remote Wonder
    DAO
    GUIDE PLUS

Also go into Device Manager and make sure that ATI Display Adaptor is removed and restart your PC. Make sure you have the Catalyst installation CD handy.

As for installing a new card, I'm pretty sure that you have to uninstall everything, including the onboard video before installing a new card. At least that's what I had to do when I installed mine.
