    hey
im new to capturing video to pc so be patient with me thanks

i lately got this tv card "Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP" and i want to capture my vhs to pc and then burn as dvd, im using winfast PVR

as i want to record multiple episodes i want to record as "vcd quality" as it would let me burn more onto one disc. i realise that the quality aint as good as i would expect it to, i have another "vcd quality" video file i downloaded comparing to that file to mine own there is still a major different.

i'm wondering if its my tv card which can affect the quality, would a more experience or better tv card give me better qaulity but with the same output, recording as "vcd quality"

  2. hi glk2000,

My suggestion is that you capture to avi with huffyuv or picvideo mjpeg and then encode the avi to mpeg with tmpgenc.

Edit: Thanks for posting here https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1323642#1323642 that you don't want to capture to avi.

    vcd4ever.
