    i have a video on my pc in avi form, however it has the black bars at the top and bottom of the video (widescreen bars) how do i remove them? so that i can have the video in fullscreen

    If you crop the black bars off it still won't be fullscreen. The blackbars will just reappear on playback (if that isn't already the case). To make widescreen fulscreen you have to either crop the sides off or stretch it. Neither is a good option.
