  1. Hi,

I want to be able to put a DVD9 to a DVD5 with:

No lost in quality to the video
Keep menu (but not the extras etc)

I know theres away to take out the extras and stopping the extras button working on the menu, but how do you do this?

    Thanks in advance 8)

Not with no loss in quality, if you're still above 4.37 GB after removing the extras.
Easiest method would be to use DVDShrink, replacing the extras with stills.
There are more sofisticated way, but this is what I'd use.

  3. Okay, well...I would still like to know how to stop the 'extras' button on the menu to be unable to select. Ill keep that in mind about dvd-shrink and the still images.

  4. the tool that spring's to mind immeidately is MenuEdit. The downfall is it cost's money, and the trial....well it doesn't really let you do anything.

  5. You could try DVDStripper, which is free. I've never used this or MenuEdit, but it won't cost you anything to try it, except a little bit of time.

DVD Remake / Pro can also do this
VobBlanker can do a better job at replacing extras to save space than Shrink, but if the size is still too large then Shrink can reduce it.

If you want maximum quality and the size (after removing extras) is still too big, I would use DVD Rebuilder with Procoder or CCE to reduce the size.
