Im having this problem with premiere 6.5 , I formatted my hardrive yesterday and installed premiere again but now it will not show video in the timeline window/monitor whatever you call it, the video plays fine on the left video window,but then i drag it to the timeline and the video is black on the right video window. i have all the codecs i need so i dont know what im missing here.

What OS? What format video?
If XP, do WMP and Moviemaker 2 work normally? -

Windows Xp, and its Xvid,i have the xvid codec installed,i can view the video normally in wmp and also in movie maker.Originally Posted by edDV

oh - i thought you meant all video , not just one type ..
video acceleration is not it then most likely ...
