media file incorrectly mamed.wmf

i downloaded two media files and incorrectly named 1 of them .wmf wheras it plays in all media players, unlike the other which i named .wmv
i cannot edit it in nero windows movie maker etc, is there any tool programme to convert the incorrectly named .wmf file?
any help would be highly appreciated.

Rename it to .wmv, perhaps ?

And if you don't know; In 'Folder Options', make sure you uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' if you want to see and change the extensions.

Go to My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View:



Untick this box and you should be able to see file extensions. Then just click on the file and press F2, or right-click on it and go to Rename, or click once, wait a second or two, then click again and you should be able to rename the file.
