  1. Hi,
I'm trying to encode some home videos to xvid. I'm using Vegas but I can't seem to find the option to render to xvid. Does anyone know where to find this option?

I have to ask: You do have the Xvid encoder installed? I guess it just seems strange to use a $450 program with a freeware encoder. I use Virtualdub with the Xvid encoder. Anyway, it should show up in the encoder selection.

  4. Ahh, i've found it now. I think I was looking in the wrong spot.

I'm also using the demo from mainconcept for H.264 encoding. I can't seem to find that one in vegas as an option to render to. Will i have to frameserve to mainconcept to get my video encoded to H.264?

If it's an AVI codec, it's probably in the same place.

  6. H.264 is a type of mpeg4 codec. So far the only way i can get the mainconcept encoder to work is through frameserving.
