I have an ATI 550 Pro, and i had to capture a clip at HQ quality ( 8 Mb ) MPEG-2. the clip ran 53+ minutes in length, but power cinema decided to split it into two clips, the first file being 2 GB, and the second one being 1.16 GB. So, I used a program called CombiMovie to join the two clips. After joining them, I played back the .mpg file in windows media player, and it plays back just fine. So i used Tmpgenc dvd author 1.6, and created a DVD with a full working menu and chapters throughout the entire 53 minute clip. the only problem was, after i created the DVD, it will only play back the first portion of the MPEG movie, it repoerts back the movie length as being 33 minutes, which is the length of the first 2.0 GB file before i joined the two files. How do i fix this problem? I tried it again, using the same 53 minute file, but not before recreating it using Combimovie, but to no avail, same result, only 33 minutes is reported back as the movie length once i create the DVD. can anybody offer suggestions?

yep.. tried that, it wont join them, says the second one is an illegal mpeg file, and yet it plays back just fine as an mpg clip

  6. Load both files in ProjectX (as one collection) and demux. ProjectX will join the elementary streams and correct any problems in the MPEG headers. Add the elementary streams into TDA (or any other authoring tool) and go!

ive tried using that program, but after abot 5 minutes, it stops and comes up with an error in the dialogue window that says:

    "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError"

my system is an AMD64 2800+, ULI1569 chipset, 512 ddr400 ram, and about 300 gig of hardrive space, serial ATA..

  8. Ask in the ProjextX forum: http://forum.dvbtechnics.info/forumdisplay.php?f=16 . Usually dvb.matt (writer of ProjectX) is very helpful and fast in solving that kind of errors.
It is a german forum, but you may post your question in english too.
