How can I use nero to make menus, without picture loss?

I have a problem reburning some old television shows that i burned on dvd.
I want to make menus on a new disk, with the same shows. The original dvd I made has 12 shows; 22 min each,
I originally produced it with dvd shrink. Now I want to re-make the disk with menus, and i cannot figure out how to do it in nero (6.6 the new one).
I have tried "make your own dvd video',
and it will not let me put all of the shows on 1 disk like the original.
It says i have to edit or make it smaller OR PUT IT ON A DVD9.
I do not want to do either. can ANYONE HELP?

The original shows fill the disk and are good quality, I just want the same quality with menus.

I have no idea where to look for help on this subject, thx

I know Nero Recode can do encoding for dvd video discs. Ive never used it so I dont know if it can do menus.

Nero Vision does an acceptable job at best and I have stopped using it. It crashes more than it succedes, and I think this is due to my moving from XP Home to XP Pro.
When I was using it, it did NOT do a good job at all on DVD files, especially when the file was spilt into 2 or more VOB files. The sound got horribly out of sync. The sound would also get out of sync if the avi files had a VBR for audio.
I since have gone to TMPGenc for encoding, then using Movie Factory 4 for authoring. Both are on trial basis so I can evaluate. I think tho, based on users' reviews, that I will end up going with TMPGenc Express and TMPGenc DVD Author.

I would like to make menus , like where you can "make your own dvd movie" in nero.
The shows i have fit on the dvd, but i cannot remake it with menus because it says it is too big.
I just dont get it. I made the dvd and it fit on the disk, and now i want to remake it with menus and I can only fit 70% of it before it says it wont fit on disk. wierd ....any ideas how to get around it? thanx for all of your help.

Menus take up space. If your disc was full before, you will have to shrink after.

After you add the menus, if it will no longer fit.

Not sure I understand what you mean by "remake", kind of a general term. You said you buned some tv shows to dvd, but now you want menus. Makes sense so far. If they are not on your hard drive, then copy them to your hard drive. Then open them in NeroVision Express by adding them to your project. Then you can add menus, submenus for chapters, buttons, animations, titles, whatever. Then, if it is larger than say 4.38 GB, Nero will need to transcode the files so that they fit onto your blank. You can even remove an episode so that it fits better, and add that episode to the next project. Use 2 passes for best results. That's about it, Nero can do it all if you have the full package, not just the condensed Express package. Play around with it, you'll get the hang of it.

Don't forget to download all of the updates, I see you have a slightly outdated version of Nero.
