WMP 10.0 sound codec corruption

Hi,

I just installled on my machine, (XPpro-SP2), Helix YUV Codecs v1.2 (and Real7ime and EOVideo too). Finally was able to convert to avi a stubborn rm file using EOVideo proggie.

Now my WMP 10.0 (Windows Media Player) has no sound. I think the YUV codecs install overwrote something important for WMP. I could reinstall WMP, or just the 10.0 sound codecs if I can get my paws on it ........ but I would rather have both WMP10.0 and YUV on the machine at the same time.

Hint: Real Player and VirtualDub can play these AVIs fine (DivX encoded, PCM sound 22,500 16 bit stereo).

Any ideas gang?

Thanks for reading this. Not sure what the problem was, but it had something to do with the WMP volume. I mean the volume slide bar was fine, but something else was wrong. All is OK now.
