Ok the thing I want to know if my avi FPS was 23.97 and I converted it to DVD using FPS 29. Will my .sub be all messed up? or do I have to convert my .sub to FRS 29 too?

it depends how you converted. if the output is the same length as the avi you don't have to.
or convert to 23:976 with 3:2 pulldown instead, using either tmpgenc or an all-in-one solution like diko,avi2dvd,thefilmmachine.
