Cyberhome 1600 thumbnail chapters in menu dont work

My only complaint is the thumb nail chapters and prevew window in the menu dont work. they all work just fine and dandy in the 'Title' menu before I finalize the disc but for some reason aft the disc finalise they don't take.

I'm getting in SP 1h 56m with TDK -R 8x & Dynex +R 8x. GOOD news is 69 min for HO/1hr. I put a 20" floor fan that sits only a few inches from the floor that can swivel up or down behind the back of the cabnet and now the Cyberhome 1600 plus vcr and entire inside of the cabnet are cool. even aft a 2hr rec the 1600 is barly warm. I rec 4 discs in a row the day before and was alarmed at how very warm the unit got including heating up all the surrounding areas. problem solved by a fan that was sitting unused in the shed!

ok now I understand.
the thumbnail boxes on the main menu are for each time you stop rec and start rec again it starts a new set of chapters hence the first frame in the 1st chapter is pictured in box 2, 3 and so on depending on how many times you stop the rec and start rec again.
