  1. To save time, I have been doing a live capture of a weekly event directly from my GL-2 to my PC w/Vegas 6. It has been very rare to drop frames, usually due to me not shutting down background apps.

My question is if I do not drop any frames, is the quality of the avi as good as off the camera with a post event transfer? I would think so, and I cannot detect any difference (so far), but is this a correct assumption?

BTW, I keep a backup copy on tape until all my editing is complete and the DVD has been finalized.

    thanks
