  2. I think MMC 7.5 is a big improvement.

MMC 7.2 is really 7.1 updated to work with XP - it has no other "enhancements" -- 7.5 has a lot of changes

  3. Tried again tonight to get MMC 7.5 working on my system - even installed "Web TV For Windows" as was suggested elsewhere, but it still doesn't recognise the TV facility. I then tried to install only the TV app from 7.1 over the top of 7.5 but that just crashed everything! Then set up MMC 7.2 and tested that for a while. It's more or less the same as 7.1 except that the new drivers cause the TV sound to jump and distort whenever you change channel or start/stop recording, and the VCD player actually plays VCD's!! albiet without the menu!

So at the moment I am still using 7.1 until ATI "officially" release something better ... not holding my breath here!!

  4. MMC 7.5 is only for the AIW -- if you have a TV Wonder it won't work --- not sure if thats the problem - just figured I'd mention it.

  5. Try this... Uninstall it, then before you install it again.. Edit the Install.ini file so that the
detecthw=1 reads detechw=0.. This will work..

  7. alucard - if you have a tv wonder then please stay away from MMC 7.5. Your're not worthy. And please refrain from making editorial commments on performance. You can't expect to enter a horse in the Indy 500 and complain about the exhaust.... can you?
