    I like SnagIt. Lots of options. For just quick, you can use the PrtScrn key on your computer. Then if you are using XP, open 'Paint', paste, trim and save.

    In case I misunderstood and you want to capture a video frame from a video, VirtualDub and PowerDVD are what I use for that. Probably other video viewing programs can do it also.

    ...or do you want to save what's going on on the screen as a movie? Then it's HyperCam, Camtasia, River Past Screen recorder...
