I've tried to use the skip sections feature but when I hit the menu link for the movie nothing plays. The button is set to go to the start of Movie 1.
    piccy below of movie window.

Is there a trap for young players as far as the skip sections feature ?

    Thanks

Also, how does one get the Project Settings window to appear at startup after telling it not to show ?

    Cheers

I have never used the feature as I would have edited out unwanted footage before encoding and authoring (in a way I am saddened that Oscar is wasting his time on these feature when important features could be improved).

An alternative to this would be to use chapter play lists to control what gets seen as what doesn't.

I had to hunt this down myself

Project/Set Default Project -- then in the popup window, there's the option to show in the bottom left corner.

a lot of people like this feature - offering 2 or more versions for ratings type or alternate version ...

I've used the "Skip" feature on some long titles. I was afraid if I cut them up, I might throw off the video/audio sync -- so using the SKIP feature worked great.

One note on the "Skip" -- the video is still there on your dvd, so if someone happend to hit the "rewind" or "play reverse" button, you can see the "skipped" video sections...
