    Hi,
I am not sure what to do here, I have an AVI file that GSpot tells me has AC3 audio , bitrate 448.
When I use VirtualDubMod 1.5.10 to extract the audio file , I get an error:
WARNING : Nothing to output BFRAME DECODER LAG.
I have searched for a solution but I have had no luck.
I have tried earlier versions of Virtualdubmod, with the same result.

    Can you please assist ?,
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you for you assistance.

when do you get the error? have you tried demux it under streams->stream lists. ignore what it says in the preview window.

or try extract the ac3 with avimuxgui instead.

  3. Hi-

    What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. It always says that when B-Frames have been used in the video. It has nothing to do with the audio. Just do what Baldrick said and you'll get the audio demuxed OK.

    Hi,
I open VirtualDubMod , go to file, open video file , I then get the Bframe msg.
I then go to streams , streams list ,and there is a file there(audio).
I then click demux, enter a file name (same as AVI file name) and save.
But nothing happens, there is no progress indication, I left it a while , but still no joy.
I reinstalled VirtualDubMod , but the same result.
I downloaded avimuxgui and tried but I could not get to the web page to give me instrauction on how the software operates.
I right clicked , added the source file but the out put is either MKV or AVI, not AC3.
    CAn you help??
    Thanks

It isn't an error and it doesn't happen always with bframes. Only when packed bistream is not used.
Also I believe in recent versions of XviD the message was ditched and replaced with just a black frame.

With AVIMuxGUI, you need to right click on the stream and then select demux.
