  1. So, I’m trying to save a streaming video for posterity, as it’s only there for a week.

I’ve tried all the usual suspects, Cocosoft Stream Down, WM & RM Recorder and Net Transport, but they only capture the audio, and there appears to be no video at all in the stream.

I figured out that just the streaming video window was

    http://nsvapp-prod-rr.stream.aol.com/fugu?t=large&nsvid=/aol/us/aolmusic/aolmusiclive/..._SPEED=2000000

And with a bit of trial and error, and with URL Snooper, I found that the audio stream was

    rtsp://demand1.stream.aol.com/aol/us/aolmusic/aolmusiclive/2005/coldplay/coldplay_fullconcert_aml.rm

But I can’t figure out where the video part is coming from. And I’m not good enough at HTML to read what the page source is doing.

Anyone help or up for a challenge ?

  3. Argh, that could be pointing in the direction as to why the usual suspects don't download the stream. I'll have to find the plugin.

The original URL, which I presume downloads the plugin was

    http://music.channel.aol.com/franchise/aolmusiclive/coldplay060705
