I usually set DivxtoD as "automatic" on both settings, yet sometimes the picture isn't best. If I have a movie on my PC that is widescreen, then how do I get it to be widescreen (letter box) on my normal, plain-jane tube TV. It's not widescreen but normal (4:3), just your average TV.
How do I get them to fit right? Set the ratio to 4:3 or 16:9, I don't mind the letterbox, actually, I'd rather have it that way than lose some of the picture.
Thanks![]()

If it is widescreen before going in to DivxtoDVD, set the aspect ratio to Force 16:9. The disk should not be encoded correctly as 16:9. Assuming your DVD player is set to correctly display 16:9 material as letterbox (you will know if it is because your commercial disks will play fine), then you should get what you want.
Worst case, you may need to use IFOEdit to set the 16:9 flag if it wasn't set correctly.Read my blog here.
