Then why do I see 21 people viewing as guests:

I think that people who sign in with their profiles hidden are shown as guests.

They aren't shown as guests, they're just shown as nothing. If I'm hidden and I go into OT, it shows "None" as the users.

This has come up before and I think the answer was that it was just a glitch. Nothing to worry about.

You see yourself as "None" but you'll see others with hidden profiles as guests.

So hidden users are not logged as guests.

But that's what I'm sayin' - you aren't able to see yourself as a hidden user, so it would say none 0 guests for you.

And if I was logged on same time as you, and I was hidden, you'd see 1 guest.


Try it out as a test with someone else, and see if you get those results.

I think it may have something to do with people having multiple windows open to topics at VH. Possibly messing up the "whereis" feature so that it can't report you in two different places but then sees you as a guest?

I'm not sure about the theory as I can't be bothered to test it out. I'll have to ask my ouija board.

That's not right I'm afraid, Shadowmistress... Although I do remember someone else suggesting that somewhere. I was once sad enough to open a tab in Firefox for every VideoHelp forum, and it reported me in every one just fine. Made everyone think I was following them somehow, I bet!
