My question is, is there any media player or subtitle filter that actually uses them?

Hi,
as far as I know these coordinates define where the subs are displayed on a picture. Sometimes the subs are even on top of a picture. Even a software player needs to know where to place the subs, so it is my assumption that this is always used.The Dutchman
