I have an MPG VCD file that I can watch fine on my computer. It is about 1 hour long. I want to put this MPG (with others) on a VCD-DVD. So I need to extract the audio and convert to 48000Hz. When I use the MPG tools in TMPGEnc it only extracts the first 10 minutes. So then I tried to open the MPG in virtualdubMod to extract and it will only open to the same 10 minute mark. So to take it further, I said, maybe it has an error in the file and needs to run through TMPGEnc with the VCD option to clear the error. That also only goes to the 10 minute mark. Authoring programs will also only open it to the same place.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to correct the errors on this MPG?

Hi,
Have you tried inputting the mpg file first into the authoring program WITHOUT converting the audio??? Many programs like TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR will convert the audio for you during authoring.

Yes I tried that. The authoring program tells me that the 1 hour MPG is 10 minutes long.
