  1. I have a Microtek Scanner (6000) and have quite a silly question.
I hope some of you can give me the info.

After I move from one place to another place, I tried to hook up the scanner to my PC again. The trouble is:
    1) I have multiple power adapters that fit this scanner, of course they all have different voltage output (and DC vs AC output too)
    2) I have no clue which one is correct this Microtek scanner, the power input of the scanner says nothing about the input voltage !!!

If you have a Microtek scanner, can you take a look at the power adapter and tell me the output voltage level and also whether it's AC or DC.
Sometimes, the AC voltage is indicate by the ~ sign, and the DC is represented as:

    ______
    ---------

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Generally Scanners and other computer accessories are from 9v DC to 12v DC. Some go up to 15v DC but those are rarer.

Have you checked the microtek website for a downloadable manual???

  3. I did check, but everywhere I looked at, it simply says there is a power adapter included in the box.

So, if some of you happen to have a Microtek scanner, please let me know the voltage output (including DC or AC) of the Power Adapter.
    Thanks

    12 or 15.

In my case the 4400 is 12V

However there should be a BIG RED sticker right on the back of the scanner itself (UL Requirement) that tells you the voltage. OR if you look at the fine print under the Microtek (again UL Requirement) "type/model#" it should say something like

    "+12V==1.25A"

which in my case is 12 volts @ 1.25 amps

  5. Thanks a bunch. I look very carefully now and found that the power listing is right under the little Microtek sign, way far from where the power plug is !!!

  6. Just make sure you set the positive and negative pins right. Right above the plug it will tell you which is which
