    As you may be aware, the Ben-Hur DVD has widescreen ratio of 2.70:1. Watching it on my 29" TV, it was really like peeping through a letterbox; i mean literally - it fills only half the screen. Yesterday, I saw it on the projector and then I said - "Ah! This is the proper way ..."

    the proper way would be to see it in 70mm anamorphic 2.76 : 1 aspect ratio .... on a 60' screen at least

    though - not so easy these days
