I ripped a Snatch using DVDx. The resulting mpeg had audio sync prob so i fixed it with Dhruv Bahtia's method. After burning it to vcd, the resulting audio was choppy. Did i miss out something or do something wrong along the way? Anyone? thanks...

I'm glad my audio sync method helped you!
Is the audio also choppy when you are playing it on your computer? Or only after you've burned it?
Try playing the VCD on your computer and check if the audio is choppy on your computer too.
I only dream in black & white...

Well, initially I thought it was fine on my computer until I listen to it with a pair earphones. It is not as obvious as it was on the player but it's still there.
I had the same problem when I encoded an AVI movie that I shot on DV and edited with Premiere. Both the video and audio were choppy n jerky. It seemed solved after I set it to non-interlaced in TMPGEnc. I'm really new at this n I don't really know what does what in whatever program I'm using. I just follow whatever's on the guides. I might have done something wrongly without even realising it.. Man... -
could be field order problem (makes me very suspicious that the problem was fixed after you set source video type to non-interlaced)
if your source is INTERLACED and/or u turned OFF FORCED FILM in dvd2avi, field order will matter.
if you plan on using INVERSE TELECINE or you plan on making your video output INTERLACED, rather than 3:2 pulldown, field order will matter.
source field order is really important (when you plan on non-progessive, interlaced displays like your TV) ....for me..it's been odd (bottom field first)..but it could be different...the best best would be to encode a small portion of the movie in one field order and burn it onto CD-RW...then test it out on your TV...if the video is jerky, then you know u have the wrong field order....
